FAQ
The short version: every short code is a link, you get a unique one per visitor, and you’re metered on links and tracked clicks per month. The details are below.
A link shortener and QR platform with a twist: click attribution at scale. You turn one link into 10,000s of unique codes — one per visitor, placement or source — so you attribute every click, not just count how many.
A short URL like visitto.me/spring-sale that redirects to your destination. You create it once, point it wherever you like, and optionally serve it from your own branded domain.
Under any link you can mint a unique short code per visitor, placement or source — e.g. visitto.me/nfSJSj41. Each one redirects to the same destination but attributes the click to that exact link: which link, when, where and on what device. Every code is a real, resolving link.
They count clicks. We attribute them. A number tells you something happened; attribution tells you which link, source and campaign to act on. Click attribution at scale is the whole point — everything else (QR, domains, analytics, API) is included around it.
Short links on your own domain, a unique tracked code and QR for every visitor, placement or source, single and bulk QR generation, campaigns, smart routing (geo / device / A-B split), password and expiry controls, full analytics, a REST API, and signed webhooks.
No. Styled QR codes — colours, dot and corner styles, your logo — are unlimited on every plan, whether you make one or a whole batch. Bulk exports come as a ZIP with a data-merge manifest for print.
Yes, on paid plans, with automatic SSL. Your short links live on links.yourbrand.com.
Real-time clicks, unique visitors, country / device / browser / referrer breakdowns, UTM and URL-variable breakdowns, per-link attribution, and CSV export. How long detailed history is kept depends on your plan.
Personal data (names, emails) is never placed in a link — it is stored privately and mapped by a non-identifying reference. Visitor IPs are hashed, everything is encrypted in transit, you control retention, and we provide a DPA.
Two simple meters, both resetting on the 1st of each month (UTC): Links / month and Tracked clicks / month. That’s it — no confusing separate “code” allowance.
Every tracked short code you create — a standalone link and each per-visitor code both count. Upload 1,000 visitors to a link and that month you’ve created 1,001 links (the original plus one per visitor).
A click or QR scan that we record and store for analytics. It’s the meter that reflects how much traffic you’re actually tracking.
Nothing breaks. Your links keep redirecting exactly as before — we simply pause storing new analytics until the meter resets next month (or you upgrade). It’s a soft limit, never a broken link.
Yes — links and tracked clicks both reset on the 1st of each month. Custom-domain limits are account-wide (not monthly).
They keep working — forever. A printed QR code should never stop resolving, so we don’t expire old links. There’s a generous total-links ceiling per plan purely to prevent abuse; normal use never hits it.
Yes — free forever, no card required.
Pay once for the year and get roughly two months free versus monthly. Switch between monthly and annual anytime from the billing portal.
Anytime, effective immediately, from the billing portal.
Yes — a versioned REST API on every plan (rate-limited by tier), built for bulk QR campaigns.
